Kheir Clinic co-hosted a press conference and vaccination event with Assemblymember Miguel Santiago to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible children and adults. The Assemblymember’s children and their friends served as role models for their community and got vaccinated on camera— they want other kids to know vaccines are safe and effective! We were proud to see the event covered in English, Korean, and Spanish-language outlets, including ABC7, KBS, KTLA5, and Telemundo!

The holiday season is a time to celebrate together, but it’s still important to take precautions against COVID-19, especially with a new variant of concern, Omicron. 

Tips for staying vigilant against COVID-19 when gathering during the holiday season: 

  • Get vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Those who are eligible for a COVID-19 booster should get one as soon as possible. 
  • Try to limit attendance to those who have been vaccinated.
  • Maintain distance and stay masked if not fully vaccinated.
  • Gather outside if possible.
  • Use disposable cups and silverware. 
  • Even if you’re vaccinated, wear a mask when not eating or drinking.
